X (formerly Twitter) doesn't offer a native way to save a video from someone else's post. Downvido reads a public post link, finds the attached video stream, and lists the qualities available so you can save an MP4 copy.

Common problems and solutions
The post link leads to a protected account.
Videos from protected (private) accounts cannot be accessed, since that would require bypassing an access control.
The post has a GIF, not a video.
Animated GIFs on X are technically encoded as short videos and should still be detected; if the format list is empty, the post may only contain a static image.
